Intermediate Welder

Job Description

  • Follow OSHA and FSC safety regulations, wearing required protective gear in environments with dust, odors, and noise
  • Read blueprints and job procedures to perform accurate welding with minimal defects and ensures weldments meet quality standards
  • Use quality control tools to inspect welds and ensure structural integrity of completed products
  • Perform basic fit-up operations for standard and prototype parts, meeting production requirements under pressure
  • May train, lead, or direct others while supporting additional duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience preferred and/or combination of education and experience
  • Experience with MIG (GMAW) welding of carbon and stainless steel is required and experience with TIG (GTAW) welding is a plus
  • Ability to interpret welding blueprints and call-outs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Relevant soft skills include reading/writing in English, math and measurement abilities, and communication

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED
