Job Details
- Install complete residential electrical systems in modular homes, including panels, lighting, switches, receptacles, GFCI/AFCI protection, smoke detectors, and low-voltage wiring
- Read blueprints and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot installation issues, and perform quality inspections and functional testing
- Coordinate electrical work with other production departments and support engineering changes, prototypes, and production improvements
- Provide technical guidance and training to Electrician I employees while assisting with material planning, inventory, and production documentation
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, lockout/tagout, and company safety standards while maintaining organized work areas and supporting final inspections and punch-list completion
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential electrical installation experience required
- Strong knowledge of residential wiring methods, electrical systems, and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to independently read and interpret electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Experience installing electrical systems in residential construction or manufacturing environments
- Proficient in safely using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, circuit analyzers, and continuity testers
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
- Experience with modular, manufactured, or panelized home construction preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred
