Job Details
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. These tasks involve manual labor and include but are not limited to: fabrication, production and assembly, including framing, drywall, painting and finishing.
- Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
- Cleans and maintains work areas and equipment, including tools.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
- Previous construction and/or manufacturing experience and training is also preferred
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components
- Excellent stamina for manual tasks required
