Job Details
- Coordinate patient flow and intake, including vitals, health history, and chart preparation to ensure readiness for exams and procedures
- Assist with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, medication administration, nebulizer treatments, and skin testing, following verified competencies
- Support providers during exams, document care accurately in Epic, and communicate medical instructions and test results to patients
- Maintain clinical areas and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, stocking, sterilization, and quality control, while managing inventory and supplies.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, contribute to quality improvement efforts, and provides cross-coverage and support across clinical areas as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- A current medical assistant certificate from one of the following organizations: AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), AMT (American Medical Technologists), NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing), NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals), or NHA (National Health Career Association) is required
- Current CPR/BLS certifications through American Red Cross or AHA are required
- 1 year of clinical experience, phlebotomy skills, and Epic Ambulatory experience is preferred
- Relevant soft skills include strong communication, customer service, computer, and organizational skills
