Catastrophe Field Property Adjuster

Job Details

  • Inspect properties damaged by various perils, including wind, hail, water, lightning, fire, and more
  • Travel at least 70% of the time throughout the United States, including overnight travel
  • Drive to properties to conduct on-site inspections and evaluate damages.
  • Review policies and endorsements to determine coverage
  • Prepare damage estimates using the Xactimate program
  • Settle claims on-site directly with customers
  • When travel or weather conditions prevent on-site inspections, handle claims remotely using video platform

Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required; must be willing to travel up to 70% nationwide, including overnight stays (must be 21+ to rent a vehicle per company policy)
  • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and safely access roofs up to a 6/12 pitch on 1–2 story homes
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damage and support timely claims resolution
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on quality work
  • Previous outside adjuster experience and proficiency with Xactimate or similar estimating software preferred
