Job Details
- Safely transport patients to and from various locations within or outside the facility, assisting with transfers and ensuring comfort and proper positioning throughout the process
- Handle equipment and materials, including medical specimens, records, lab results, and occasionally deceased patients, following proper procedures and protocols
- Provide compassionate support, easing patient anxiety through respectful communication, emotional sensitivity, and appropriate bedside manner
- Follow safety protocols to prevent injury or error, ensuring accurate patient identification, secure transportation, and awareness of environmental hazards
- Maintain compliance and professionalism by adhering to healthcare regulations (e.g., JCAHO), participating in training, and contributing to a positive organizational reputation
Skills and Qualifications
- 1 year of patient facing experience in a healthcare setting required
- Current CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Relevant soft skills include customer focus, communication, time management skills, and compassion
