Job Details
- Maintain grounds through mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, snow removal, and debris cleanup
- Perform landscaping tasks such as seeding, sodding, mulching, and minor tree removal
- Operate and maintain equipment, tools, sprinkler systems, and University vehicles
- Support campus events, assist with waste removal, and help onboard new employees
- Follow safety protocols, requisition supplies, and use computers for job-related tasks
Skills and Qualifications
- 2+ years of related experience is preferred; previous experience with irrigation systems is a plus
- Valid driver's license is required and must pass University Motor Vehicle Record Check; Illinois Pesticide Operator’s license required within 6 months
- Ability to use computers, read documents, perform math functions, and communicate effectively in English is required
- Must meet physical demands, including lifting, kneeling, climbing, and working in extreme temperatures or confined spaces
