The Cook County Manufacturing Apprenticeship Accelerator connects job seekers with U.S. Department of Labor-registered apprenticeships in the manufacturing industry. This “concierge service” helps manufacturers identify and screen apprentices while providing participants with career support, transportation assistance, and other resources during their first 90 days.

Credential & Career Coaching

Our Credential & Career Coaching team supports individuals who have recently earned certifications, as well as those seeking to obtain credentials. The program provides job readiness training, including resume building, interview preparation, and personalized guidance throughout the hiring process. Participants also benefit from coaching and mentorship to strengthen their employment prospects. Upon completion, qualified candidates are connected with employer partners actively hiring in their field. Like all services provided by Skills for Chicago, this program is free for job seekers.
