Medical Assistant

Job Description

  • Coordinate patient flow and intake, including vitals, health history, and chart preparation to ensure readiness for exams and procedures
  • Assist with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKGs, immunizations, medication administration, nebulizer treatments, and skin testing, following verified competencies
  • Support providers during exams, document care accurately in Epic, and communicate medical instructions and test results to patients
  • Maintain clinical areas and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning, stocking, sterilization, and quality control, while managing inventory and supplies.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, contribute to quality improvement efforts, and provides cross-coverage and support across clinical areas as needed

Skills & Qualifications

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant credential is required
  • Current CPR/BLS certifications through American Red Cross or AHA are required
  • 1 year of clinical experience, phlebotomy skills, and Epic Ambulatory experience is preferred
  • Relevant soft skills include strong communication, customer service, computer, and organizational skills
